The class begins with students understanding the definition of sexting. Through a dramatization read by the teacher, students realized the consequences and complexity of sexting. A worksheet and classroom discussion help students understand how they can support a friend who has been involved in a sexting incident. Students are encouraged to look at the scenario from the aspect of being involved (as if they were one of the characters in the story) and what kind of support one would imagine they would need. They are also urged to view the scenario from the vantage point of being the friend of someone involved and how they can use their good character to encourage and support a friend through such a devastating mistake.
